My Story

Meet Your Wellness Counsellor

My journey has not been straightforward, but then again, whose is?

Life has a way of throwing unexpected twists and turns our way. Some we navigate with confidence, while others leave us feeling lost, overwhelmed, or unsure of where to go next. I know this because I've lived it too.

One thing I have learnt is that while life's challenges cannot always be taken away, they can feel lighter when someone walks alongside you. Throughout my own journey, I was fortunate to have people who listened, offered perspective, and helped me find my footing again. They didn't walk the path for me, but having their support made all the difference.

And that's my why.

It's why my heart was always in the counselling space. I knew where I wanted to end up, but the journey of getting there was one I never expected.

I began with a Bachelor of Arts (Humanities) degree at Stellenbosch University before moving into marketing, wanting to better understand people and what drives them. But something was missing. I missed meeting people where they were in life.

That realisation led me back to where I had always felt called to be.

I completed my Psychology Honours degree at the South African College of Applied Psychology (SACAP), followed by the Humanitas Counselling Course, which included 220 hours of practical counselling experience. I am listed with the Association for Supportive Counsellors and Holistic Practitioners (ASCHP) as a Specialist Wellness Counsellor (Membership No. SWC25/17360).

Throughout my own journey, I've learnt to trust myself, to travel with grief rather than try to outrun it, and to accept that growth isn't always linear. Every person's story is different, and it is a privilege to walk alongside them as they make sense of their experiences, discover new perspectives, and find their own way forward.
